We do not choose treatment based only on the name of a symptom. During your visit, the doctor will ask when the problem began, what makes it better or worse, whether you have received any tests or treatment, and what medications or supplements you currently take.
We also consider sleep, digestion, appetite, physical activity, work demands and recent changes in your daily life when they are relevant to your condition. After the consultation and examination, we explain the available treatment options and when reassessment may be needed.

What to Expect on Your First Visit
Step 1. Consultation
We ask about your main concern, when it began, previous diagnoses or tests, current medication and any symptoms that may require other medical evaluation first.
Step 2. Examination
The examination depends on your condition and may include checking the painful area, movement, tenderness, swelling, strength, balance or other relevant findings.
Step 3. Explanation
The doctor explains the likely treatment range, available options, precautions and when reassessment may be needed.
Step 4. Treatment or Prescription
If treatment is appropriate, it may begin on the same day. Herbal medicine is prescribed only after the doctor reviews your current condition.
What to Bring
You can visit without special preparation. If available, the following information may help the consultation:
- A list or photo of your current medications and supplements
- Recent imaging or laboratory results
- Medical records related to the current problem
- The approximate date when your symptoms began
- Information about allergies, pregnancy or breastfeeding

When Emergency Medical Care Comes First
Korean medicine treatment does not replace emergency medical care. Seek urgent medical attention for chest pain, severe breathing difficulty, sudden weakness or paralysis, loss of consciousness, heavy bleeding, a serious injury, or rapidly worsening symptoms.

No. Do not stop prescribed medication without speaking to the prescribing clinician. Please tell the doctor what medications and supplements you currently take.
